ENDAPT:
Electronic Networking to Develop
Accomplished Professional Teachers
A collaboration between the School of Education at the College of William & Mary in Virginia and the national Center for Teaching Quality's Teacher Leaders Network
At a time when teacher attrition rates approach 50% by the fifth year of professional service, support for teacher induction, development, and leadership is imperative.
These teacher-driven online support services, and the models of collaborative professional learning that they exemplify, are based upon the notion of "endapting" — enabling new teachers to adapt to, but also to adapt — complex, ever-changing professional contexts as teacher leaders, and in the service of student learning.
